China: The Good, The Great, The Crazy

You can't get more perfect than China for our very first post. We traveled to Beijing, Xi'an, and Hong Kong this summer, and while this blog is supposed to be about our crazy life in D.C., China truly brought forth the good, the great, and the crazy.

So, here's a sneak peek into our visit to the east, beginning with the good...

China: The GOOD

Tons of porcelain for sale at the Dirt Market.
Love the shopping!

Here's the Olympic swimming venue - The Cube.
Bring your floaties!

Just lounging around at the Bird's Nest.

Here's a full view of the Bird's Nest.
Ready to run anyone?

Mmmmm...Pringles and beer. The breakfast of champions.
Just watch out for the pink chips - is that a shrimp flavor?

The lights of Hong Kong's skyline -
reminds us of Times Square.

Due to construction, the red wall of the
Tiananmen gate was actually green.

And of course, these Texas girls can find
margaritas anywhere they go!
A huge shout-out thank you to Joanna and Michael for a their generous hospitality while we were in China. Our vacation would not have been the same without you!
Well, that's it for now, but stayed tuned for the great and the crazy of China...and of course, there's always a little craziness here at home.
Hope you enjoy our blog!
